past music projects :

Heavy Petting

Heavy Petting was a live performance IDM music project of jRicK and Alexander Bassett from 2001-2005. Alexander played Buzz Tracker, live synths and fx vocals, jRicK played Buzz Tracker, MC505 and live drum kit, and VJ Myles Faigin accompanied them on projections for all shows. Though never published on a label, the project produced tons of material and self-released 4 EPs and 1 album, and performed at countless underground art events many of which they produced themselves. They were on one compilation released by cutting edge art magazine+dvd, Select Media, in 2003.

Sinuous

jRicK produced dark techno as Sinuous from 1996 through 2004, releasing on High Octane Records and other small techno labels. As a DJ and live performer he played throughout the underground art and rave scene in Chicago, New York and California.

Woman is the New Man

Woman is the New Man is an electronic duo comprised of synth-freakout S.E.T.H. and rhythm-thick jRicK. The project spanned from 2004-2005. They produced two EPs, one of which is published on jRicK's Auxprocess Netlabel, and they performed live once for an art opening for Tokyo Alice.
